The problem worth solving.
For operational teams, an unreliable connection should not stop an invoice or interrupt inventory work. The challenge was to make local availability and server synchronization part of a coherent, dependable workflow.
Where I took ownership.
- Researched and selected the application architecture.
- Implemented desktop behavior and local availability workflows.
- Designed synchronization states and client-side data safeguards.
Decisions behind the experience.
Local work, first
Designed the offline architecture from the ground up so the data needed for day-to-day work remains available on the desktop.
A careful return online
Built client safeguards against duplicate submissions and stale or invalid data, while central business rules and most conflict resolution remain on the server.
Flexibility by design
Compared persistence and synchronization approaches before choosing an Electron-based architecture with the control needed for evolving business requirements.
Engineering that serves the workflow.
The application supports continued work through connectivity interruptions. Its architecture makes the transition between local work and connected operation an explicit part of the product experience.
